
Kelly Clarkson, in full Kelly Brianne Clarkson, (born on April 24, 1982 in Fort Worth, Texas, U.S.), American performer, songwriter as well as a TV personality, who was able to establish herself as a pop rock star following being crowned the most popular TV talent show American Idol during 2002. Clarkson was born at Burleson Texas (a suburb within Fort Worth), where her vocal talents were initially noticed by her seventh grade singing teacher. Clarkson left high school to move towards Los Angeles where she failed to make it in the world of entertainment. After returning to Texas her name was announced as an contestant in the inaugural season of the FOX Broadcasting Co's American Idol, a singing contest that let viewers choose their favorite performer. The viewers were in love with Clarkson's arresting voice, charisma, and humor. Clarkson was awarded $1 million and an agreement recording in partnership with RCA for her winnings.
