Ruth Wilson

Ruth Wilson has won two Olivier Awards as well as a Golden Globe Award. She made her Broadway premiere on Nick Payne's Constellations alongside Jake Gyllenhaal. Her best-known role is as Alison Lockhart, in Showtime's "The Affair" that she won a Golden Globe Award. Her film credits are The Little Stranger, Dark River, I Am the Pretty Thing It Lives In the House and Suite FranASSaise. Locke, Saving Mr. Banks, The Lone Ranger and Anna Karenina. They were awarded Olivier Awards for Best Actress for Anna Christie opposite Jude Law as well as Best Supporting Actress on A Streetcar Named Desire opposite Rachel Weisz, both at the Donmar Warehouse. The National Theatre Nominated her for the Olivier Award as Best Actress in Hedda Gabrieller. In television, Wilson starred in the popular BBC program "Luther," which was awarded eight Emmy Awards. "Luther," a BBC Miniseries Jane Eyre received her nominations for BAFTA and Golden Globes, in the categories of Outstanding Leading Actress.
