Niykee continues to write songs, even though she has been caught up in the latest turmoil. Niykee was selected to be part of her participation in YouTube Brandcast by Snoop and Snoop was on stage with her. She is now a magnet for aspiring producers, she regularly combs through beats sent her way and realizes that most end up sparking song ideas. She states that she can discern if a beat is great in only 5 minutes. And then, a brand new song will pop into her head. While I play the guitar on my front porch I begin writing, and words flow. A majority times, it's completed in just about 30 minutes. Niykee continues to develop her skills as a poet and lyricist. She says that the trauma she endured in the past has served as an infinite sources of motivation. She says that even when she's not composing about the things which were actually taking place, all of her pain due to her childhood and the loss of her sister makes its way into the music. My songs are inspired by my experiences and I see the bigger picture beneath all of it. It's among the elements that is important to me.
