Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah (born in India) is an Indian actor, singer-songwriter and performer. Her main focus is Tamil and Malayalam movies. Her acting debut was in the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam as well as her Malayalam debut with Annayum is in the film. Andrea Jeremiah comes from an Anglo-Indian family background. She was the daughter of an attorney from the Madras High Court attorney. Her younger sister works as a Belgian research assistant who lives in Leuven. Jeremiah was raised near Chennai and went to National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. She has said that she was an avid enthusiast and wanted to be a psychiatrist after passing the 12th grade of her board exams.Andrea was a classical pianist when she was just eight. Young Stars is a Jackson Five type group she joined when she was 10 years old that was the basis of her singing and music career. In her college she was also an actor and appeared in stage plays produced by The Madras Players. She served as the President of the Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea started her career in theatre with Girish Karanad's Nagamandala. She acted in new leo coffee commercial together with the actor Shiva in the year 2006. In 2006, she was a part-time actress in a show that was airing on Podhigai. She acted throughout India. She played a minor role for the Kanda Mudhal finale (2005). Gautham Vaisudev menon had her sing in Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu and then asked to have her play in the role of a female lead on Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea portrays Kalyani in this film, which is a remake of James Siegel's novel Derailed. The husband of the character is involved in an affair with her and she is subsequently blackmailed. Andrea was chosen to play the character following the actors Simran Tabu and Tabu were offered the role. The film was released in the early part of 2010. The film was released in August 2011. Venkat Prabhu made his debut with the multi-starrer Mankatha. The film was commissioned to take on a lesser part in the film. Annayum Rasoolum was Rajeev's romantic film in 2013.
