Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born in South London, England into a mixed family. Her father is Nigerian Swiss and her mother is English. She attended The Brit School when she was 14 years old. In London, she studied at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in which her acting diploma was earned. While attending the school and performing in numerous stage plays, including the King Henry V as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe started her acting career through the movie Storm Damage. Since then, she's been making guest appearances in films like Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film appearance was Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), opposite Colin Farrell. In the following year she portrayed Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally she appeared in Trexx as Ollie as well as six episodes of Flipside. The year 2008 saw her landed the part of Bambi in The ITV2 Drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl and was featured in the series two and three. Madekwe was a part of the comedy How to Lose Friends and Alienate people (2008). She has performed on the screen in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path written by David Watson.
Madekwe made her US debut on the drama series The Beautiful Life, which was only broadcast in the US on The CW before being cancelled. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge in February of 2011. In May of 2013, it was revealed that Madekwe who had appeared on the show as a series regular for the previous two seasons was to leave the series with a guest appearance on the premier episode of the season's new episode. She was Tituba on the television program Salem between 2014 and 2016. Madekwe wed her actor boyfriend Iddo goldberg in June 2012. They've collaborated in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl and he also had a role alongside her in the television series Salem.
Ashley Leggat, a twice Gemini nominated actress, was born into a big family living in Hamilton, Ontario. She was raised by her parents Roy and Patty as well as her four brothers -Rob, Brett, and twins Todd and Bram. Ashley's brothers were athletic and were avid baseball players during the summer months as well as hockey in winter. Ashley was never able to actually walk. She danced. So when she was just 2 1/2 years old and a half, she began to take part in Baby Ballet. Ashley fell in love with dance at this age. Ashley was a professional dancer throughout the various divisions until she finished high school. She was a competitor in jazz, tap, ballet and pointe, as well as Acrobatics. Top soloists at important competitions like International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and many more were awarded to Ashley.
